Let \(b \in L^{\infty}(\mathbb R_{+})\) and let \(\Omega \in L^1(S^{n-1})\) with zero average where \(n \geq 2\). For a suitable mapping \(\Phi : \mathbb R^n \rightarrow \mathbb R^d\), the Marcinkiewicz integral operator \(\mu_{\Phi, \Omega, b}\) on \(\mathbb R^d\) is defined by \[ \mu_{\Phi, \Omega, b} f(x) = \Bigl( \int_0^{\infty}| F_{\Phi, t}(x) |^2 \frac{dt}{t^3} \Bigr)^{1/2}, \] where \[ F_{\Phi, t}(x) = \int_{| y | \leq t} \frac{\Omega (y')}{| y |^{n-1}} b(| y | ) f(x - \Phi (y))dy, \quad \text{and} \quad y' = y/| y | . \] In [Acta Math. Sin., Engl. Ser. 16, No. 4, 593--600 (2000; Zbl 0966.42008)] the authors proved the \(L^p\) boundedness of \(\mu_{\Phi, \Omega, b}\) where \(\Phi\) is the identity mapping from \(\mathbb R^n\) to itself. The main theorem of this paper is the following: Let \(\Phi = (P_1, \cdots, P_d )\) where \(P_j\) is a real-valued polynomial on \(\mathbb R^n\). Suppose that \(\Omega \in H^1(S^{n-1})\), then \(\mu_{\Phi, \Omega, b}\) is a bounded operator on \(L^p(\mathbb R^d)\) for \( 1 < p < \infty \). They also consider the Marcinkiewicz integral related to the area integral and the Littlewood-Paley \(g_{\lambda}^{*}\) function.
