    Let \(F\) be a complete field with discrete valuation and with perfect residue field. Let \(G\) be the group of \(F\)-rational points of a reductive connected linear algebraic group defined over \(F\), and let \(\mathcal B\) denote the Bruhat-Tits building of \(G\). Given \(x \in \mathcal B\) and \(r \in \mathbb R\), one can consider the lattice \(\mathfrak g_{x,r}\) of the Lie algebra \(\mathfrak g\) of \(G\) defined by \textit{A. Moy} and \textit{G. Prasad} [Invent. Math. 116, 393-408 (1994; Zbl 0804.22008)]. Then for each \(r \in \mathbb R\) the open closed \(G\)-invariant subset \(\mathfrak g_r = \bigcup_{x \in \mathcal B} \mathfrak g_{x,r}\) of \(\mathfrak g\) can be used to describe the support of invariant distributions on \(\mathfrak g\). If \(P\) is a parabolic subgroup of \(G\) with Levi decomposition \(P=MN\) and Lie algebras \(\mathfrak p = \mathfrak m + \mathfrak n\), the authors prove in this paper that \(\mathfrak m \cap \mathfrak g_r = \mathfrak m_r\). They also examine the relation between the Fourier transform and the sets \(\mathfrak g_r\) and prove that if an \(M\)-invariant distribution on \(\mathfrak m\) has a local expansion on \(\mathfrak m_r\), then the distribution of \(\mathfrak g\) obtained by induction has a local expansion on \(\mathfrak g_r\).
