This paper uses direct geometric methods to compute the bordism group of unoriented ``surface links'', embeddings of \(n\) (possibly empty) closed surfaces in \(\mathbb{R}^4\). This group is isomorphic to \(\mathbb{Z}^n\oplus(\mathbb{Z}/4\mathbb{Z})^{\binom{n}2}\oplus(\mathbb{Z}/2\mathbb{Z})^{\binom{n}3}\), where the \(j\)th term of the first summand is detected by the normal Euler numbers of the \(j\)th surface and the other summands are detected by linking between pairs and triples of surfaces. The latter invariants may be computed in terms of the singularities of a generic projection of the surface link to \(\mathbb{R}^3\). (A key fact is that the diagrams associated to such generic projections may be related by standard ``Roseman moves'').
