Let \(F\) be a polynomial mapping from \(\mathbb C^n\) to \(\mathbb C^q\), \(n>q,\) which is a complete intersection at infinity. In the author's terminology it means that in some positive grading of the coordinate ring the leading terms of the polynomial components of \(F=(f_1, \ldots, f_q)\) determine a reduced complete intersection; it is denoted by \(F^{-1}(\infty).\) The author obtains a global version of some well-known results concerning properties of analytic germs of complete intersections with isolated singularities studied earlier by \textit{G.-M. Greuel} [Math. Ann. 214, 235-266 (1975; Zbl 0285.14002)], \textit{E. J. N. Looijenga} [Isolated singular points on complete intersections, Cambridge Univ. Press (1984; Zbl 0552.14002)], \textit{L. Gavrilov} [Bull. Sci. Math. 122, 571-584 (1998; Zbl 0964.32022)], and others. Under the assumption that \(F^{-1}(\infty)\) has an isolated singularity at the origin, it is proved that any weighted homogeneous basis of the highest dimensional cohomology group \(H^{n-q}(F^{-1}(\infty))\) is a basis of all the groups \(H^{n-q}(F^{-1}(y))\), \(y \in \mathbb C^q;\) it is also a basis of the \((n-q)^{th}\) relative cohomology group of \(F\). Moreover the dimension of \(H^{n-q}(F^{-1}(\infty))\) is given by a global Milnor number of \(F\) depending only on the leading terms of \(f_i\), \(i = 1,\dots,q\).
