The authors study flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universes, with variable gravitational and cosmological constant. The matter source is assumed to be a bulk-viscous fluid. With the help of a dimensional analysis a relation between the energy density and the bulk-viscous pressure is obtained. Together with other standard assumptions the field equations are solved and the behavior of the physical quantities is discussed.
