An \(A_\infty\)-algebra is an algebra for Stasheff's associahedra (non-symmetric) operad on chain complexes. An \(A_\infty\)-category is a several object version of this, although the name might better be used for the unital case. There is a straightforward concept of \(A_\infty\)-functor; and the author here defines natural \(A_\infty\)-transformations. This is in contrast with \textit{M. A. Batanin} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 123, 67-103 (1998; Zbl 0892.18003)] where, in the unital case, the morphisms are a kind of homotopy. The present paper also examines the unital case where he produces a \(V\)-category of \(A_\infty\)-categories where \(V\) is the monoidal 2-category of \(k\)-linear categories. A union of the author's work and Batanin's would also be of interest.
