A numerical semigroup is a subset \(S\) of the nonnegative integers closed under addition containing zero and that generates \(\mathbb{Z}\) as a group. Let \(c(S)\), \(m(S)\), \(\mu(S)\) denote the conductor (or Frobenius number), multiplicity and embedding dimension of a numerical semigroup \(S\). The paper is devoted to prove that if \(m\) and \(e\) are positive integers such that \(3\leq e\leq m-1\), then there exists an irreducible numerical semigroup \(S\) such that \(m(S)=m\), \(\mu(S)=e\) and \(c(S)\) is even. Recall that a numerical semigroup \(S\) is irreducible whenever it cannot be expressed as an intersection of two numerical semigroups containing \(S\) properly and that the class of irreducible semigroups with odd conductor is the same as the one of symmetrical semigroups. The above result is proved in a constructive manner by giving a family of irreducible numerical semigroups with even conductor and arbitrary multiplicity and embedding dimension. Finally, the authors compute the cardinality of a minimal presentation for the semigroups of the above family.
