It is shown that if \(E_1\) and \(E_2\) are Banach spaces and \(A_1\), \(A_2\) are subalgebras of \(B(E_1)\) and \(B(E_2)\) (the algebras of all bounded linear operators on \(E_i\) \((i= 1,2)\)) containing all finite-dimensional operators and the identity operators, then every biseparating \(T: A_1\to A_2\) (i.e., \(T\) is a linear bijection such that \(ab= 0\Leftrightarrow T(a) T(b)= 0\) \((a,b\in A_1)\)) is continuous and of the form \(T(a)=\alpha S\circ a\circ S^{-1}\) for each \(a\in A_1\), where \(S\) is a continuous linear isomorphism from \(E_1\) onto \(E_2\) and \(\alpha\) is a nonzero scalar.
