Quasisymmetric parametrizations of two-dimensional metric spheres (Q1401446)

According to the classical uniformization theorem, every smooth Riemann surface homeomorphic to the 2-sphere \(S^ 2\) is conformally diffeomorphic to \(S^ 2\). In this paper the authors develop a uniformization theory for certain metric spaces based on the notion of quasisymmetries. In particular they show that certain metric spaces homeomorphic to \(S^ 2\) are actually quasisymmetric to \(S^ 2\).
