    The author shows the following Markov-Bernstein-type inequality. Let \(p\in [1,\infty)\) and \(w\in (0,{1\over 2}]\). Suppose \(W\) is a weight function on \([-w,w]\) such that \(W(w\cos t)\) is a doubling weight (i.e. the measure \(W(2I)\) of a twice enlarged interval \(I\) is less than a constant \(L\) twice \(W(I):= \int_I W(u)\,du\)). Then there exists a constant \(C\) depending only on \(p\) and the doubling constant \(L\) so that \[ \int^w_{-w}| T_n'(t)|^p W(t)(w/n+ \sqrt{w^2- t^2})^p\,dt\leq Cn^p \int^w_{-w}| T_n(t)|^p W(t)\,dt \] holds for every real trigonometric polynomial \(T_n\) of degree at most \(n\).
