As the title claims, this paper is mostly concerned with different types of Poisson structures on tangent bundles. The authors start considering the complete lift of a Poisson structure \(\omega\) on a manifold \(M\), getting a new Poisson structure \(\omega ^C\) on \(TM\). Moreover, they give a nice interpretation in terms of the symmetric Schouten-Nijenhuis bracket associated with the cotangent Lie algebroid \(T^\ast M\). In the second section, the authors discuss Poisson structures \(W\) on \(TM\) which have a graded restriction to the fiberwise polynomial algebra, obtaining nice properties, such as that there exists a Poisson structure \(\omega\) on \(M\) which is \(\pi\)-related with \(W\), \(\pi :TM\to M\) being the canonical projection. In the third section, they study transversal Poisson structures, i.e., bivector fields on a manifold \(N\), endowed with a foliation \({\mathcal F}\), which define a Lie algebra bracket when it is reduced to foliated functions, that is, functions which are constant along the leaves of \({\mathcal F}\), obtaining some properties. They consider the particular case of the tangent bundle \(TM\), which is naturally endowed with the vertical foliation, and get that polynomially graded bivector fields on \(TM\) are an example of this situation. Finally, they get this type of bivector fields as the horizontal lift (of a Poisson structure on \(M\)) associated with a connection on the tangent bundle.
