The paper follows from some previous works of the author and the original statement of the problem by Kokoriev and Kirpichnikov (1988). It considers unrestrictered planar problem of a symmetric rigid body and a sphere in a dumbbell gravitational field. The stability of triangular equlibria is investigated, with the assumption of low-order (up to third-order) resonances. Four different cases are studied by applying theorems of Markeev and Sokol'skij. In particular, it is shown that if the perturbation is small enough and depends on coordinates only, the triangular equilibria persist with the exeption of the first-order resonance.
