\textit{H. Murakami} and \textit{J. Murakami} [Acta Math. 186, 85--104 (2001; Zbl 0983.57009)] proved that the \(q\)-dilogarithmic invariant of knots introduced by Kashaev is a special case of the colored Jones invariant (polynomial) associated with the quantum group \(\text{SU}(2)_q\); using the connection between the \(q\)-dilogarithmic invariant and the hyperbolic volume of the complement of a knot (discovered by Kashaev), they stated the following volume conjecture: for every knot, this specification of the colored Jones invariant gives, in a certain limit, the simplicial volume (or the Gromov norm) of the knot. In the present paper, the volume conjecture is proved in the case of torus knots (which have simplicial volume zero, so the limit is zero in this case).
