The author considers branching processes with generalized summation operation given on the set \(T\subset Z_+\) by the recurrent formula \(Z_{n+1} = \bigoplus_{m=1}^{Z_n}\xi_{m,n}\), where \(\xi_{m,n}\), \(m\geq 1\), \(n\geq 0\), are independent and equally distributed random magnitudes with values in \(T\), and \(\bigoplus\) is an associative and commutative operation on \(T\). A monotonicity theorem is proved for the class of operations, non-decreasing with respect to the arguments. The case of a multiplication operation is considered. It is shown that depending on whether \(\xi_{m,n}\) takes the zero value or not the process either turns out to be ergodic or goes to infinity almost sure.
