The paper deals with three-dimensional nonlinear viscoelastic system with fading memory \(\mathbf u_{tt}(\mathbf x,t)=\text div_x\sigma\), where \(\mathbf u(\mathbf x,t)\) is the displacement at time \(t\) and \(\sigma\) is the stress tensor given by the integral law \[ \sigma_{ij}(\mathbf u(\mathbf x,t))=g_{ij}(\nabla u(\mathbf x,t))-\int_0^\infty a(\tau)h_{ij} (\nabla u(\mathbf x,t-\tau))d\tau,\;i,j=1,2,3. \] The article investigates the existence of travelling wave solutions to the Volterra integro-differential system. The solutions have the form \(\mathbf u(\mathbf x,t)=\mathbf u(\xi),\;\xi=\lambda t+\omega.\mathbf x,\;|\omega|=1\), such that \(\lim_{\xi\to -\infty} \frac {d\mathbf u(\xi)}{d\xi}=\mathbf v^-\) for a given vector \(\mathbf v^-\). The system is after integrating expressed in the form \[ -\lambda^2v_i(\xi)+\sum_{j=1}^3 \omega_jg_{ij}(\mathbf v(\xi)\otimes \omega)=\int_0^\infty a(\eta) \sum_{j=1}^3 \omega_jh_{ij}(\mathbf v(\xi-\lambda\eta)\otimes \omega) d\eta-A_i, i=1,2,3. \] The authors derive conditions for the existence of a nontrivial solution satisfying the condition \(\lim_{\xi\to -\infty}\mathbf v(\xi)=\mathbf v^-.\)
