The author gives a new proof for the conjecture of Rauzy on the structure of billiard trajectories in a cube which was first proven by \textit{P. Arnoux}, \textit{Ch. Mauduit}, \textit{I. Shiokawa}, and \textit{J.-I. Tamura} [Bull. Soc. Math. Fr. 122, 1-12 (1994; Zbl 0791.58034)]. The approach presented also works for some rational polyhedra.
