The authors study the exponential type of operators and their representations with the Hermite-Kampé de Fériet polynomials. One of the relations obtained is the following: \[ e^{\gamma(\partial/\partial x)^\mu} x^n= H_n^\mu (x,y), \] where \(H_n^\mu (x,y)\) is the so-called Hermite-Kampé de Fériet pseudo-polynomials of fractional order, viz. \[ H_n^\mu (x,y)= n! \sum_{r=0}^\infty \frac {x^{n-\mu r} y^r} {r! \gamma(n-\mu r+1)}. \] It is also pointed out how the various representations can be considered to form the solutions of certain fractional Cauchy type problems.
