The authors describe a wavelet collocation method for computing the solution to evolution equations. The discretized equations have the same energy conservation law as the initial system. The method is based on the wavelet sampling approximation using Coifman scaling systems combined with energy integrals. Essentially, theoretical elements are given. Preliminary numerical results are provided in the last section on the Burgers equation.
