      The author considers the problem \[ \begin{aligned} & Lu= (f(x,v,Dv)\quad\text{in }\Omega,\;Lv= g(x,u,Du)\quad\text{in }\Omega,\\ & u= v= 0\quad\text{on }\partial\Omega,\end{aligned}\tag{1} \] where \(\Omega\) is an open and smooth domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), \(n\geq 3\), \(L\) is an uniformly elliptic operator and \(L\) its formal adjoint, \(f\) and \(g\) are continuous and nonnegative functions such that there exist \(p,q> 1\) and \(c> 0\) such that \(f(x,s,\xi)\leq cs^p\), \(g(x,s,\xi)\leq cs^q\), \(\forall x\in\Omega\), \(\forall\xi\in \mathbb{R}^n\), \(\forall s\in \mathbb{R}^+\). The main result in this paper is the proof of the existence of positive solutions of (1) under suitable hypothesis on the parameters \(p\) and \(q\).
