Homogenization of some contact problems for the system of elasticity in perforated domains (Q1409671)

The system of linear elasticity is studied in a perforated domain with an \(\varepsilon\)-periodic structure. In order to model friction forces, some unilateral problems are considered as a result of imposing the corresponding boundary conditions on the surface of cavities. The body is supposed to be clamped on the remaining portion of boundary. The mathematical problem can be formulated as a variational inequality, and the author examines the asympotic behavior of its solutions as \(\varepsilon\) approaches zero. Some unilateral problems with boundary conditions of Signorini type are also studied in a partially perforated domain, using the established homogenization theorem.
