Consider the generalized Dirichlet series \[ f(s)= \sum^\infty_{n=1} f_n(s)\exp(- s\lambda_n)\quad (s=\sigma+ it),\tag{1} \] where \(f_n(s)\) are entire functions, \(\{\lambda_n\}\subset \mathbb{C}\) and \(0< |\lambda_n|\uparrow\infty\). Under some conditions the author evaluates the domains of absolute convergence and of divergence of (1), studies its overconvergence and finds a subsequence of the partial sums of (1) which determines an analytic extension of (1). These results are some extensions of previous results of \textit{M. Blambert} and \textit{R. Parvatham} [Int. J. Math. Math. Sci. 2, 45--60 (1979; Zbl 0409.30003)] and the author himself [Ann. Sci. Math. Qué. 22, 1--15 (1998; Zbl 1051.30005)].
