The author studies the oscillation of a kind of second order nonlinear delay difference equation with impulsive perturbations \[ \Delta(a_{n-1}| \Delta x(n-1)| ^{\alpha-1}\Delta x(n-1))+f(n,x(n),x(n-l))=0, \quad n\neq n_k,\;k\in N, \] \[ a_{n_k}| \Delta x(n_k)| ^{\alpha-1}\Delta x(n_k)=N_k(a_{n_k-1}| \Delta x(n_k-1)| ^{\alpha-1}\Delta x(n_k-1)), \tag \(*\) \] where \(\Delta\) denotes the forward difference operator, i.e., \(\Delta x(n)=x(n+1)-x(n)\), \(\alpha>0\), \(l\in N\), \(N\) is the natural number set. Some sufficient conditions are obtained for all solutions of (\(*\)) to be oscillatory. Several examples which illustrate that impulses play an important role for the oscillation of the equations are also included. There are some typographical errors in this paper.
