La construction bar d'une algèbre comme algèbre de Hopf E-infini. (The bar construction of an algebra as an E-infinite Hopf algebra). (Q1414796)

The author shows that the classical bar construction of a differential graded algebra over the surjection operad, cf. \textit{J. McClure} and \textit{J. H. Smith} [Am. J. Math. Soc. 16, No. 3, 681--704 (2003; Zbl 1014.18005)], has the structure of Hopf algebra over the Hopf operad \({\mathcal E}\), defined by normalised chains on the Barratt-Eccles operad. The construction uses in an essential way one of the main results of the author and the reviewer in [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 137, No. 1, 135--174 (2004; Zbl 1056.55006)], namely that the surjection operad is a quotient-operad of \({\mathcal E}\).
