A feature characterizing this paper is the use of the Lagrangian approach to describe the linearized gravity in the background of the Randall-Sundrum solution. The authors give a detailed derivation of the second variation Lagrangian in the background of the Randall-Sundrum solution, prove the existence of a global unitary gauge, investigate the corresponding equations of motion in this gauge, diagonalize this Lagrangian and the obtained equations of motion, consider the coupling of the physical degrees of freedom to matter on branes and discuss its physical consequences. The authors emphasize that Galilean coordinates must be used on each brane for the correct interpretation of these couplings.
