The authors study oscillations of a viscous incompressible fluid inside an infinitely long slit. Both the fluid and the slit rotate as a rigid body with angular velocity \(\omega_ 0=\mathrm{const}\). The oscillations of the fluid are induced by nontorsional oscillations of the upper plate and also by the temperature gradient applied at the initial moment to the lower plate. They determine the velocity field in the flow and find the tangential stress vectors that act from the fluid upon the upper and lower plate of the slit. They study various cases of the motion of the upper plate and determine the corresponding velocity fields of the flow of the medium.
