Assuming that the corresponding quantum inverse scattering problem has a solution, the author tries to construct an operator that yields the zeros of the Riemman zeta function, by defining explicitly a supersymmetric quantum mechanical model associated with the \(p\)-adic stochastic dynamics of a particle undergoing a Brownian random walk. The zig-zagging occurs after collisions with an infinite array of scattering centers that \textit{fluctuate randomly}. Arguments are given by the author in order to show that this physical system can be modeled as describing the scattering of the particle about the infinite locations defined by the positions of the prime numbers on the real line. The author aims then at reformulating such a \(p\)-adic stochastic process, that has an underlying hidden Parisi-Sourlas supersymmetry, as the \textit{effective} motion of a particle in a potential which can be expanded in terms of an infinite collection of \(p\)-adic harmonic oscillators with fundamental (Wick-rotated imaginary) frequencies \(\omega_p=i\log p\) (\(p\) being a prime), with harmonics \(\omega_{p,n}=i\log p^n\). Finally, using the \(p\)-adic harmonic oscillator potential the author tries to determine a one-to-one correspondence between the amplitudes of the oscillations \(a_n\) (and their phases) and the imaginary parts of the zeros of zeta \(\lambda_n\), after solving the inverse scattering problem. The ideas are quite nice and refreshing but it is the opinion of the reviewer that the author only reaches half of his goals, the remaining ones being the hardest.
