The authors construct the group structure and the algebra of manifolds in 5D, showing that 4D-Lorentz and Poincaré groups are naturally embedded in 5D-structure, and analyze the possible decompositions of this 5D-group. They derive the 5D-field equations and conservation laws (the core of the authors' unification scheme) and show that the reduction to 4D-dynamics gives rise to nonminimally coupled scalar tensor theory of gravity which is intrinsically singularity free and consistent with other effective theories of quantum fields on curved space-times. Further, they derive that, in 4D dynamics can be naturally split. As a final result, they show that gravitational asymptotic freedom emerges as a natural feature and construct consistent cosmological models which exhibit such characteristic for \(t\to\pm\infty\).
