This paper deals with continuous-time switched linear systems in the form \[ \begin{aligned} &\dot x(t) = (A_0+A_1s(t))x(t)+b_0+b_1s(t),\\ &y(t) = C_0x(t), \end{aligned} \] where \(s(t)\) is a switch function with value 0 or 1. The matrices \(A_0,\,A_1\in \mathbb R^{n\times n}\), the vectors \(b_0,\,b_1\in \mathbb R^n\), and the matrix \(C_0\in \mathbb R^{l\times n}\) are constant. Furthermore, the state \(x(t)\in \mathbb R^n\), the input \(s(t)\in \mathbb R\) and the output \(y(t)\in \mathbb R^l\). An optimal linear discrete-time controller is developed in order to cope with deviations from a stationary solution. The controller is chosen to be one-step-ahead predictive, which is a natural choice for the digital control of pulse-modulated systems.
