Let \({\mathbb{F}}\) be a finite field and let \(F\) be the global field \({\mathbb{F}}(t)\), with ring of adeles \({\mathbb{A}}\). For each place \(v\) of \(F\), write \(F_v\) for the corresponding local field, \({\mathcal O}_v\) for its ring of integers and fix \(\pi_v\) a uniformizer in \(F\cap{\mathcal O}_v\), with \(\pi_{\infty}=t^{-1}\), where \(\infty\) is denotes the place whose local field is \({\mathbb{F}}((t^{-1}))\). Let \(G\) be a split reductive group defined over \({\mathbb{F}}\) and fix a Borel subgroup \(B\) defined over \({\mathbb{F}}\) and a maximal \({\mathbb{F}}\)-split torus \(T\) in \(B\). A cocharacter \(\eta\in\text{Hom}({\mathbb{G}}_m,T)\) is called \textit{antidominant} if \(| \alpha_i\circ\eta(\pi_v)| _v\geq 1\), for each place \(v\) and each simple root \(\alpha_i\) with respect to \(B\) of the root system \(\Phi(G,T)\). Let \(K\) be the maximal compact subgroup \(\prod_v G({\mathcal O}_v)\) of \(G( {\mathbb{A}})\). This paper concerns the double coset space \(G(F)\backslash G({\mathbb{A}})/K\), which may be interpreted as the set of isomorphism classes of principal \(G\)-bundles on the projective line. The main result is that every double coset has a unique representative of the form \(\eta(t^{-1})\), where \(\eta\) is an antidominant cocharacter. This is deduced from a similar local result.
