The author studies the following triangular cross-diffusion system in a bounded domain \(\Omega\) of \(\mathbb R^n\): \[ \frac{\partial u}{\partial t}=\mathcal A_u(u,v)+g(u,v), \qquad \frac{\partial v}{\partial t}=\mathcal A_v(v)+f(u,v),\tag{1} \] equipped by Robin boundary conditions. Here \((u,v)\) are unknowns, \(f\) and \(g\) are given functions and \(\mathcal A_u(u,v)\) and \(\mathcal A_v(v)\) are quasilinear elliptic operators of the form \[ \mathcal A_u(u,v)=\nabla\cdot(P(u,v)\nabla u+R(u,v)\nabla v),\;\;A_v(v)=\nabla(Q(x)\nabla v)+c(x)v, \] where the given functions \(P\), \(R\), \(Q\), \(c\) are smooth enough and satisfy \[ P(u,v)\geq d(1+u)>0,\;\;| R(u,v)| \leq F(v)u,\;\;Q(x)\geq d>0,\;\;c(x)\leq0, \] for some function \(F(v)\). Moreover, it is also assumed that \[ | f(u,v)| \leq C(v)(1+u),\;\;g(u,v)u^p\leq C(v)(1+u^{p+1}). \] Under these assumptions, the author proved the following conditional result: Let the dissipative estimate in \(L^1(\Omega)\times L^\infty(\Omega)\) for the solutions \((u(t),v(t))\) of (1) is a priori known. Then, equation (1) generates a dynamical system in the phase space \(X=W^{1,p_0}(\Omega)\times W^{1,p_0}(\Omega)\), \(p_0>n\), (intersected with the positive cone) and this dynamical system possesses a finite-dimensional exponential attractor in it. This abstract conditional result is then applied to the following chemotaxis model: \[ \frac{\partial u}{\partial t}=\nabla\cdot[(d_1+a_{11}u)\nabla u]+\nabla\cdot(u\chi(v)\nabla v)+f(u),\quad \frac{\partial v}{\partial t}=d_2\Delta v+bu-cv, \tag{5} \] where all of the constants are positive, and \(f\) looks like \(u(-\mu u+\nu)\). For that system, the author proves the well-posednes and the existence of a global attractor in the case of any space dimension.
