Arcwise connected functions, which are generalizations of convex functions, were introduced by \textit{M. Avriel} and \textit{I. Zang} [J. Optim. Theory Appl. 32, 407--425 (1980; Zbl 0422.90069)] and have been investigated by several authors. In the paper, the concept of arcwise connected cone-convex functions in topological vector spaces is introduced and theorems corresponding to classical theorems in convex analysis are proved. In particular, for a constrained vector-valued nonlinear optimization problem involving such functions, Fritz-John and Kuhn-Tucker type conditions are provided and relations between a solution of this problem and a saddle point of a related Lagrangian are studied. Moreover, a duality theorem for such problems is given and the relationship between a vector variational inequality and vector-valued nonlinear programming problems is discussed.
