Using the results of \textit{R. Rosca, Lieven Vanhecke} and \textit{Leopold Verstraelen} [Ann. Mat. Pura Appl., IV. Ser. 94, 361--376 (1972; Zbl 0274.53056)], an isometric hypersurface \(M\) immersed into an \((n+1)\)-dimensional Riemannian manifold is studied and the principal curvatures of \(M\), the distinguished vector field \(E\) and the curvature vector field \(P\) are considered here. When \(M\) is endowed with a \(P\)-parallel connection, then it is Einstein, see [\textit{R. Rosca}, Kodai Math. J. 2, 1--10 (1979; Zbl 0406.53028)]; many properties are obtained in the present paper. At the end, when \(M\) is endowed with an almost symplectic structure, a result concerning the symplectic harmonicity is obtained and for \(M\) compact, the second Betti number is shown to be greater than, or equal to, \(1\).
