Let \(G\) be a finite Abelian group. A number field \(K\) is called a Hilbert-Speiser field of type \(G\) if every tamely ramified normal extension of \(K\) with Galois group isomorphic with \(G\) admits a normal integral basis. In this paper the author considers the case when the order of the group \(G\) is either 2 or 3. Necessary and sufficient conditions for \(K\) to be a Hilbert-Speiser field of type \(G\) when the order of \(G\) is 2 were obtained by \textit{A. Srivastav} and \textit{S. Venkataraman} in [Indian J. Pure Appl. Math. 25, No. 5, 473--488 (1994; Zbl 0804.11063)]. The author first proves the same necessary and sufficient conditions when the order of \(G\) is 2. Then he is able to obtain analogous necessary and sufficient conditions for \(K\) to be a Hilbert-Speiser field of type \(G\) when the order of \(G\) is 3. The proof is very elegant. He also determines all quadratic number fields that satisfy these conditions. It should be noted that the field of rational numbers is the unique number field which is Hilbert-Speiser of type \(G\) for every finite Abelian group \(G\). This was proved by \textit{C. Greither}, \textit{D. R. Replogle}, \textit{K. Rubin} and \textit{A. Srivastav} in [J. Number Theory 79, 164--173 (1999; Zbl 0941.11044)]. In the erratum the author corrects a result of this paper, thereby showing that among all quadratic number fields, there are exactly twelve Hilbert-Speiser fields of type \(C_3\): \(\mathbb Q(\sqrt m)\), where \({m\in\{-11,-3,-2,-1,2,3,5,6,17,33,41,89\}}\).
