The author considers perturbations of the incompressible Euler system in \(\mathbb R^n\), \(n> 2\). The first perturbation consists in multiplying \((u\cdot\nabla u)\) by a function \(a(t)=1\), the second one (``damping perturbation'') in adding \(\varepsilon u\) to the Euler equation. The global well-posedness of these perturbed Euler systems is proved in Triebel-Lizorkin spaces for initial vorticity which is small in the critical Besov norms. Comparison-type theorems for the blow-up of solutions are established between the Euler system and its perturbations, which allows to obtain a lower bound estimate for the possible blow-up time for the Euler solution. The author also demonstrates the possibility of self-similar type of blow-up of solutions to the Euler equations, which is impossible for Navier-Stokes equations. Finally, he applies his methodology to a model Constantin-Lax-Majda equation.
