The contact problem for an elastic strip with a thin reinforcement coating (Q1425501)

The paper deals with a plane contact problem on impression of a rigid punch into an elastic strip reinforced on the boundary by a thin elastic coating and with a fixed base. A first kind integral equation with difference kernel with respect to contact pressure is obtained. Its regularization is carried out and the problem is reduced to determination by the second kind integral Fredholm equation of an auxiliary function associated with contact pressure.
