Comments on some fixed point theorems in hyperconvex metric spaces. (Q1426071)

The authors show that several fixed point theorems of the Fan--Browder type or acyclic maps in hyperconvex metric spaces are consequences of known results for maps in generalized convex spaces. In fact, their results present generalized and improved versions of fixed point theorems due to \textit{W. A. Kirk} and \textit{S. S. Shin} [Houston J.
