The main question that the authors deal with is how much the spin of quantum particles is important in quantum gravity phenomena. The model under consideration deals with a semi-infinite laboratory with a certain rather complicated Lorentzian metric, corresponding to a perfect fluid and having a constant scalar curvature. In some energy regions the energy eigenvalues for spin-0 and spin-1/2 particles are obtained and shown that they do not coincide. The spin-0 particles have a certain ground state energy while the kinetic energy of spin-1/2 particles may be equal to any positive value.
