The paper studies the existence of solutions of the second-order sweeping process \(\dot{x}(t)\in K(x(t))\), \(\ddot{x}(t)\in -N(K(x(t));\dot{x}(t))+F(t,x(t),\dot{x}(t))+G(t,x(t),\dot{x}(t))\), in a separable Hilbert space. Here \(K\) is a set-valued mapping with compact values, \(F\) is a scalarly upper semicontinuous convex set-valued mapping (that is, all its support functions are upper semicontinuous), \(G\) is a continuous set-valued mapping, and \(N(K;x)\) is the proximal normal cone to \(K\) at \(x\in K\). Several existence theorems under additional assumptions cover most of the previous results of this kind.
