In this paper the authors continue their work on ``RS- transformations'' for linear matrix ordinary differential equations, in contrast to previous papers here for a matrix form of the hypergeometric equation. RS-transformation means: transforming a given ODE into another one by applying a rational transformation (R) of the argument followed by a Schlesinger transformation (S) of the solution. After a general survey of old and newer results on the hypergeometric equation and such transformations the authors give detailed explanations of these concepts and then treat quadratic, cubic and higher order transformations and combinations of such, with illuminating concrete examples.
