The author adapts and combines an efficient approximately factored implicit method with the high-order compact difference scheme (developed separately for electromagnetics, Navier-Stokes and general MHD equations) for the three-dimensional curvilinear mesh formulation. Special attention is paid to developing boundary conditions for electrode and insulator conditions, in the presence of Hall effect and ion slip. A number of verification cases are computed. Current loops are observed to yield complicated Lorentz force and energy interactions.
