On the variations of \(G_2\) (Q1431020)

Simple Lie algebras \(V_i G\), \(i = 3,4,5,6,7\), of characteristic 2, called variations of \(G_2\), have been constructed by \textit{G. Shen} [Nova J. Algebra Geom. 2, No. 3, 217--243 (1993; Zbl 0878.17018)]. In this paper the authors determine the derivation algebras of \(V_4 G\) and \(V_5 G\) defined over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 2. They also show that \(G_2\) and its variations all possess unique nondegenerate associative forms.
