The paper explores the relationship between Nambu structures and integrable forms. Nambu structures are generalizations of Poisson structures on manifolds. A Nambu tensor of order \(r\) (\(r>2\)) on an \(n\)-dimensional manifold can be dually described by an integrable \((n-r)\)-form [\textit{J.-P. Dufour} and \textit{Nguyen Tien Zung}, Compos. Math. 117, No. 1, 77--98 (1999; Zbl 0969.53047)] One of the main results (Thm. 3.1) provides a formal normal form for a Nambu tensor of order \(n-1\) around a point where it vanishes with nonzero linear part. The authors derive consequences of the above mentioned duality results about integrable 1-forms: for example, they show that any integrable 1-form vanishing at a point with nonzero linear part is, up to multiplication by a nonvanishing function, the formal pull-back of an integrable 1-form depending only on variables. Some generalizations and refinements of this result are also discussed. In the last section of the paper, the authors present a classification of quadratic 1-forms via the a classification of quadratic Nambu tensors of order \(n-1\).
