Many authors studied problems of the possibility and order of approximation of functions on an interval on the real axis by algebraic polynomials with some additional constraints, such as (A) simultaneous pointwise approximation of a function and its derivatives with Hermitian interpolation at the endpoints of the interval; (B) one-sided (integral) approximations where they are applied to deduce Tauberian theorems with remainder term); (C) comonotone approximations, when the function to be approximated and the approximating polynomials are assumed to be monotone, convex, etc.; (D) subject to constraint are the coefficients of the approximating polynomials (they are assumed to be integer, positive, etc.). Integer coefficients are considered. Positive coefficients are a new topic; it arose in relation to one problem about the spectrum of a positive operator. The first general results are given. In this message, we make an attempt to simultaneously impose constraints (A), (C), and (D) (Section 2) and (A), (B), and (D) (Section 4) when this is possible (see Section 5).
