    Let \(0 < p, q \leq \infty\), let \(u\) and \(v\) be weights on \((0, \infty)\) and let \[ (Gf) (x) := \exp \Bigl(x^{-1} \int^x_0 \log f (t) \, d t\Bigr), \quad f > 0. \] The characterization of the inequality \[ \Bigl(\int^{\infty}_0 (Gf)^q u\Bigr)^{1/q} \leq C \Bigl(\int^{\infty}_0 f^p v \Bigr)^{1/q}, \quad f > 0, \] (together with estimates of the norm of \(G\)) was given in [\textit{B. Opic} and \textit{P. Gurka}, Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 120, 771-779 (1994; Zbl 0806.26012)] when \(0 < p \leq q \leq \infty\), and in [\textit{L. Pick} and \textit{B. Opic}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 183, 652-662 (1994; Zbl 0815.47041)] if \(0< q < p \leq \infty\). The aim of this paper is to find alternative estimates of the norm of \(G\). Results are based on new criteria for the weighted Hardy inequality.
