The authors study the resonance behaviour in the two coupled Duffing-van der Pol oscillators with a nonlinear coupling. There is no external force. They prove the existence of a periodic solution and approximate it by the method of multiple scales. The stability is examined by the Routh-Hurwitz criterion.
