Remarks concerning modified Navier-Stokes equations. (Q1433922)

The main ideas and the development concerning some particular class of non-Newtonian fluids are described in this paper. Some new results are proved, related with the diadic model close to Ladyzenskaya's modification of the Navier-Stokes equations in 3 dimensions. An estimate for the Hausdorff dimension of the singular set at the first time of blow-up is given. The relations to the estimates of the singular set of the Navier-Stokes equations, given by Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg, are studied in the last part.
