This very nice paper deals with the existence of blowing-up solutions of equations like \[ \Delta u + n(n-2)Ku^{2^*-1} = 0 \] in \(\mathbb{R}^n\backslash\{0\}\), where \(2^\star = 2n/(n-2)\) is critical from the Sobolev viewpoint, and where \(K\) is required to be close to \(1\). The author proves that there exist such \(K\), smooth in \(\mathbb{R}^n\backslash\{0\}\) and such that \(| K-1| < \epsilon\), for which the equation possesses a solution which blows up at the origin. When \(n > 4\), \(K\) can even be selected to be extended as a Lipschitz function in \(\mathbb{R}^n\).
