Subsemigroups of certain bands of nilpotent groups. (Q1434261)

Let \({\mathcal N}_n\) denote the variety of nilpotent groups of class (at most) \(n\). If \(\mathcal V\) is any variety of bands, then the Malcev product \({\mathcal N}_n\circ{\mathcal V}\) comprises the \(\mathcal V\)-bands of nilpotent groups of class \(n\), a variety of completely regular semigroups, when considered as semigroups with an additional unary operation. The semigroups that are embeddable in this variety form a quasivariety of semigroups. Sets of implications for such a quasivariety were found by the author [Semigroup Forum 55, No. 2, 237-246 (1997; Zbl 0885.20039)] for the case of \(\mathcal V\)-bands of Abelian groups. In this paper, finite sets of implications are found for the quasivariety corresponding to normal bands of nilpotent groups of class \(n\) and for the quasivariety corresponding to the orthodox members of that variety; and also for those corresponding to rectangular bands of such groups and to semilattices of such groups.
