    The author is completing her previous results on the Mumford-Tate group of 1-motives [Ann. Inst. Fourier 52, No.~4, 1041--1059 (2002; Zbl 1001.14017)] proving a very interesting theorem suggested by P. Deligne. Let \(M\) be a 1-motive over a field \(k\) of characteristic 0. This theorem states that the unipotent radical of the Lie algebra of \(\mathcal{G}_{\text{mot}}(M)\) is the semiabelian variety defined by the adjoint action of the Lie algebra \(\text{Gr}_{*}^W(W_{-1}\text{(Lie}(\mathcal{G}_{\text{mot}}(M)))\) on itself. As a corollary, the dimension of \(W_{-1}(\mathcal{G}_{\text{mot}}(M))\) is computed.
