An inifinite semi-transparent elastic medium of thickness \(h\) is surrounded from above by a gas with a given admixture concentration. The upper surface of the elastic material is uniformly irradiated by a collimated laser beam with a constant angle. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the effect of the correlation between the spectral radiation characteristics of the lasers and the adsorption characteristics of the two-component system upon the coupled thermal, diffusion and elastic processes. The authors first recall the model they have described in previous papers. Neglecting some source terms, they prove that plane elasticity can be considered. Parabolic equations are considered for the temperature and the concentration of the gas, together with that simplified elasticity problem. All these equations are coupled. Neumann type or Dirichlet type boundary conditions are considered for the temperature or for the concentration, together with an integral condition for the stresses. The paper focuses on a numerical resolution of the problem, based on an interative procedure which is presented without any further discussion. It ends with a presentation of curves which present the influence of the radiation of different laser beams on the repartition of the temperature, on that of the concentration and on the distribution of the normal stresses.
